There are SO many changes throughout life and oh-so-many unknowns. Most things cannot be controlled no matter how much we wish or what kind of clever constructs we create. And with all this comes… anxiety.

Maybe it’s felt as incessant worry, perhaps as gripping fear, waking in the middle of the night between 2-3 a.m. for no apparent reason, trouble falling asleep, or an overall unease with life. You’re not alone and it’s unbelievably common in our society.

There is help!

If the mind isn’t well, the body can’t be well, and then we don’t live our lives well. It’s a nasty domino effect. This email series will include some background on the issue of anxiety from an Ayurvedic perspective (yoga’s ancient sister science) as well as practical tools and practices which are free or low-cost.

Over the course of 7 weeks you’ll receive weekly emails from me with links to informational and instructional videos and discover easy, everyday rituals that you can implement immediately. And all of these are things that I, myself, do!!! I practice what I preach!

​Mindset Barriers and Successful Reframes
How are we getting in our own way? How can we move beyond victimhood and into empowerment?

1. Intro to Anxiety and the Ayurvedic Perspective
Essentials Ayurveda in order due understand anxiety, vata dosha and how we can heal this imbalance that’s creating anxiety.

2. Grounding
How can we take the energy in and DOWN instead of up and out? What practices will begin to bring us home to our body and out of the mind? How can we root our being?

3. Breathing
How we breathe is how we live... what is our breath currently telling us? Does it really even matter that much? How can we shift out of dysfunctional patterns and practice breathing that shifts us out of anxiety and fight-or-flight?

4. Moving
As Tony Robbins famously says, “if you’re in your head, you’re dead”. What ways can we shift back into the body, out of the mind, out of distraction and emBODY our life? What are creative ways we can move and how can we transition away from “exercise” and towards “movement”?

​5. Digesting
In Ayurveda it is said that we digest everything from our daily and life experiences, to our emotions, to our food. Do we have a life indigestion? Does HOW we eat matter more than WHAT we eat? Learn the flow of things moving down and out instead of bouncing back up into the head.

6. Healing
What has been stuck and stored away? What lingers in our past and ancestry that the mind obsessively keeps us from noticing? What level of trust and faith do we have or has it all been delegated to the micro-managing mind? What is at the root?

7. Calming
How can we soothe the nervous system so we can sleep well, digest well and live well? What are we doing that’s creating our own problem?
